Walk together across the Botermarkt

In September 1675, De Botermarkt, now known as Rembrandtplein, was the vibrant setting of a lively market. 350 years later, we are bringing this unique moment back to life at Oosterdokskade.

With your VR headset on, you step into a world where history and innovation meet. Experience the sounds, colours, and energy of De Botermarkt, encounter characters from the past, and discover how Amsterdammers gathered to celebrate, trade, and enjoy life together.

This award-winning pilot marks the first step in a series of new VR experiences by ENTR that bring Amsterdam’s history back to life. Short yet intense, this experience invites you to discover the city in an entirely new way, not from the sidelines, but right at the heart of the story.
